Can the Cucina Antica® jar be reused for home canning?

No, it cannot be used for home canning because the jar cannot be resealed properly after opening.

 
 
How long can an opened jar be kept in my refrigerator?
3-5 days depending on how often you open your refrigerator.
 
 
Can leftover sauce be frozen and saved for later use?
Yes, you can freeze the sauce in a plastic container.
 
 
Is the salt iodized?
No, the salt is not iodized.
 
 
Is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil used in the sauces expeller pressed?
Yes, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil is expeller pressed.
 
 
Are there any peanuts in your products?
Cucina Antica sauces and dressings are manufactured in a facility that also uses peanut ingredients. The sauces and dressings do not contain peanuts, are not cooked or jarred on the same day as products that have peanut ingredients, and all peanut ingredients are segregated from all Cucina Antica ingredients. All of the cooking lines and kettle used to make Cucina Antica sauces are thoroughly and diligently sanitized to avoid cross contamination. We adhere to a strict equipment-sanitizing procedure.
 
 
Are your sauces gluten free?
Yes, they are certified gluten free. Please note that our production facility also produces products with nuts, wheat, rye, barley and oats, however our equipment is thoroughly sanitized to avoid cross-contamination.
 
 
Are your products vegan?
All red sauces, ketchup, extra virgin olive oil and pastas are vegan, the vodka sauces and dressings are not.
 
 
Are your products vegetarian?
Yes, all products are vegetarian.
 
 
How long are your sauces good for?
Opened: 3-5 days in the refrigerator; Unopened: 2 years if stored at room temperature in a pantry or cool, dry place.
 
 
Are your sauces Organic?
No they are not. However, they are all-natural. At this time only our dressings and ketchup are organic.
 
 
What oil is used in the Dressings?
Soy bean oil is used in all dressings except for our Fat Free Tuscany Dressing.
 
 
Does your sauce contain citric acid? If yes, what is it derived from?
99.99% of the citric acid that is in our Italian peeled tomatoes comes naturally from the tomato plant itself. The remainder does not contain any grain ingredients, including corn. This is why it is not listed on the ingredients, it is naturally occurring.
